As far as diamond-turning goes, traditional mirror surfaces are z-axis aligned on the diamond lathe and have spherical curvature. We chose to use “Off-Axis and Aspherical Mirrors” as our example because it is more exciting and it demonstrates a step into the aspherical and irregular surface realm, as well as our off-axis capabilities.

Aspherical and Irregular Surfaces

Made to your design, or we design to your requirements.

Using custom G-Code for diamond machining, we are able to input abstract functions into your design for parabolic surfaces, surfaces with multiple curved functions and blending with surface features.

Off-Axis Turned Parts

Similar to fly-cutting, this allows us to place a center-line anywhere on the part that you desire! Often, this allows us to cut many parts at once
